Laurie Barcaskey, President of Leading Marks LLC is an authorized manufacturer’s representative and distributor with a presence in Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, Northern West Virginia and Western Maryland. She works with organizations across the US to evaluate marking and traceability requirements to identify products, assets, warnings, locations and other industry required specifications. By using the latest technologies for applying and tracking information she assists organizations to reduce costs through safer processes and redundant data entry and eliminate paper forms through electronic reporting on smart devices.

Laurie  has over 30 years of experience as a sales executive with shop floor knowledge of solutions for industrial identification, part traceability and inspection reporting. She is the third generation of one of the marking industry’s most innovative and enduring family legacies, tracing back to 1889.

The company name, Leading Marks, was selected because it is a nautical term that means conspicuous points upon which a vessel can sail a safe course. Marking and traceability are important aspects (leading marks) of quality control, inventory management, and product integrity (safe sailing).

Leading Marks and their vendor partners work closely with the personnel of organizations to identify economical and safer technology for marking and traceability requirements. As a committed supplier and partner,  she will seek to understand the requirements of a project and the desired goals set by your team then partner you with the best supplier and solution.

Laurie has been involved in projects that are forced to work within government regulations and industry specifications set by ANSI, ASTM, and API to name a few.
